Genesis Gives With PATH for Christmas

Genesis community volunteers with PATHAs part of our annual tradition, Genesis partnered with PATH (People Attempting to Help) by way of giving a share of our blessings to a few families in hopes of making their Christmas holidays a little better.

The mission of PATH is to serve economically disadvantaged people in Smith County through a committed, dedicated staff and well-equipped volunteers. Specifically, PATH assists with or provides affordable housing, family counseling, financial aid, a food pantry, free dental care, as well as housing and utility bill assistance.

Backpack Meals Prep at the Food Bank

Genesis had a strong turnout to stuff backpacks at the East Texas Food Bank. This was an extended Genesis family event, with spouses and kids participating. In true Genesis software development fashion, we applied our efficiency process methods to the backpack assembly process and blew the previous record of 2,600 out of the water. We assembled 3,380 prepared meals to slip into low income students’ backpacks. In total, 13,000 meals were made for people in need in the East Texas area.
