Location Services
GenWatch3 Location Services is a powerful enhancement to GenWatch3-ATIA that tracks GPS-enabled radios on an ASTRO 25 system. In this latest installment of our Guide to the GenWatch3 Galaxy, we give a quick overview of the enhancement and some exciting new features!
FDMA/TDMA Access Types
For those who are in the process of migrating to TDMA, or have already made the switch, you’ll want to tune in for this latest GenWatch3 ATIA feature. Genesis will now display the access type of the radios utilizing the system. This FDMA/TDMA Access Type feature is visible within GenWatch3 iVISTA Reports, Site Drill Down, and Dashboards. If you have the GenWatch3 Location Service Enhancement, you will also be able to color subscribers by Access Type on the iVISTA Map. These new features will make it quick and simple to identify which radios are still operating in FDMA on your system.
Simulcast & ESRI
If you have Simulcast Sites, the GenWatch3 iVISTA map now displays unique icons for sites that are simulcast. You can now import Esri or ArcGIS layers to the GenWatch3 iVISTA map! This provides an opportunity to further utilize these GIS investments and bring in detailed information that is most relevant to your organization.
Radio Quick Search
New to the top right corner of every iVISTA screen is the Radio Quick Search. By simply typing in a Radio ID or Radio Alias this smart search feature will populate and help narrow down to the exact radio desired. Once a radio is selected, important details will appear such as the currently affiliated talkgroup and site, last registration, last activity, etc. Best of all, with a single click you can auto-run a subscriber activity detail report on the unit.
Activity Module
The iVISTA Activity Module incorporates all the information that you are used to seeing in the desktop application and adds new user-friendly features. With the introduction of new ways to view, filter, rearrange, customize, and save this packet-by-packet information, it is now simpler than ever to quickly identify what you need.
Channel & Site DrillDown
The Channel Module has a new face and a new home in iVISTA. You still get the same functionality, including real-time views of system activity, calls in progress, call types, radio IDs, talkgroups, and associated aliases in a browser-delivered format!

Local Patching
GADI allows dispatchers the ability to pre-define patches for quick activation and deactivation. These simple to create predefined patches save valuable time in emergency situations.
Multi-Select
The GADI Multi-Select feature provides the ability for a user to pre-define multi-select groups prior to opening them. These can be activated and deactivated with a single mouse click which allows a dispatcher to quickly and easily transmit to a specific group of resources.
Centralized Patching
The GADI Centralized Patching feature provides the ability to configure centrally available patches via a centralized patch server. These patches can be predefined with members, made editable or locked, or set as permanent. GADI makes it simple to see where a patch was activated and is being hosted. If the console hosting a patch goes down, GADI will automatically transfer that patch to a console that is capable of hosting it.
Active Patch
The GADI Active Patch feature displays all active patches throughout the entire system in one centralized location. This way all of the information that you need to know about a patch is readily available and easily sorted by hosting console or patched resources.
Emergency
This GADI feature shows all emergencies in one place so that you don’t have to search through resource folders to find and acknowledge an emergency. Displaying all emergencies in one location makes it quick and simple to find, acknowledge and clear them.
Volume & Tone Management
This GADI feature allows dispatchers to set only the emergency tones that they need to hear. It provides them with a way to set specific emergency tones that they need to hear in their headsets. This gives them the option of not having to hear every emergency happening in the system. The dispatcher still sees the emergency on the console but is able to control what they hear in their headset.
Unattended Emergency
GADI monitors every emergency call (via the ATIA Stream) and detects whether or not the resource is being monitored by a console position. This allows tactical teams or agencies that don’t want to pay for 24/7 monitoring to still have access to assistance in emergencies and then remain unmonitored when they are not in an emergency status.
Custom User Interface
To streamline workflows of repetitive dispatcher tasks, GADI can combine those tasks into a single mouse click. This allows a series of actions to be scripted out in advance and assigned to a “button” whether on the desktop or a configurable keyboard.
GADI Product Demo
GADI (Genesis-Aided Dispatch Interface) enhances the standard features in the Motorola MCC 7500 dispatch console to improve dispatcher efficiency and increase officer safety.
The GADI suite provides a valuable toolset to existing dispatch centers or meets functional requirements during the design phase of a new ASTRO® 25 system. GADI client software resides on each console position and communicates with the Centralized GADI Server.
