Since we launched our monthly series of webinars, our mission has always been to provide our valued customers with “in demand” content that brings awareness to, increases usage of, and most importantly maintains a high return on investment from the GenWatch3 software. With that said, we are going to cancel our December session in order to review what worked and what can improve so we kick off 2020 strong!
Thank you for your participation and support of these webinars over the past year. From the entire Genesis Family to yours, we hope you have a happy and healthy holiday season!Read more
Genesis is partnered with Pure Religion and their Grace EmBEDded ministry, which builds and delivers beds for foster homes. Nearly 1 in 3 foster care situations in our area of Smith County, Texas are impacted by the absence of a bed. Grace EmBEDded needed 100 new beds to provide to foster homes in East Texas for the holidays. At a gathering at the Green Acres Baptist Church parking garage last evening, this lofty goal was easily met, thanks to a massive turnout of around 400 volunteers. We also thank Green Acres Baptist Church, Smith County Sheriff’s Office, CBS Rental and Supply, Chick-Fil-A, and Coca-Cola for donating their time, goods, and resources as well.
Last week, we asked our community to help gather supplies needed to help first responders in the Houston area recovering from Hurricane Harvey. Our #GenesisGivesBack team, along with Pure Religion, sent a loaded trailer to Houston full of the requested supplies. To everyone who answered the call to help us help those who put their lives on the line each and every day, we sincerely appreciate your support.
Texas NENA — The Texas Chapter of the National Emergency Number (9-1-1) Association — has reached out to Genesis with very specific requests for hard goods they desperately need. They have three distribution centers set up for Public Safety personnel in the Texas Hurricane Harvey Disaster zone that need our help now. They have specifically requested we help them only with the items that they need and nothing else. As a result, Genesis will not be able to accept or deliver anything that isn’t specifically on their list. At this time, they are not equipped to manage or distribute secondhand items, so donations need to be new items in easily distributable packaging. They asked that we not send “travel sized” containers of supplies (for example: tiny bottles of hand sanitizer or hotel shampoos).
