Smith County Approves New Dispatch Software

Smith County, Texas — The Smith County Commissioners Court on August 14, approved new dispatch software that could be a “game changer” for emergency responders.

Chad Richey, product manager for Genesis PULSE, said it is a web-based, decision support software for emergency call centers. The program is designed to simplify the dispatch process, meaning faster response times for citizens who need assistance.

“It is a difference maker for 9-1-1 personnel and emergency response,” he said.

Call him Scrum Master Wansley. James Wansley personifies all that is great about Genesis: hard working, fun loving, and smarter than the average bear. James, along with the entire development team, maximizes efficiency by utilizing the Scrum methodology. In the software world, Scrum is an agile project management framework with the goal of delivering new software capability every 2-4 weeks. It was an extremely difficult goal to accomplish, but this morning, James became a certified PSM1 Scrum Master from Scrum.org.

Two-Way Data Share Hopes to Decrease Response Times for Emergency Responders and Inform Citizens

Waze[October 6, 2015] Tyler, Texas — The Genesis Group today announced a data-sharing partnership with their emergency call center software, PULSE (http://genesispulse.com) and Waze (http://www.waze.com), the real-time crowdsourced navigation app powered by the world’s largest community of drivers. Designed as a two-way data share of traffic accidents, traffic congestion, and road closures, the Connected Citizens Program promotes greater efficiency, increased situational awareness for emergency personnel, deeper insights and safer roads for citizens in communities where the Genesis PULSE software is in use.  This is the first integration worldwide for Waze into a public safety communications product.

Western Motorola Service Provider Association Conference

As a Motorola Platinum Channel Partner, Genesis solutions were on display at the Western Motorola Service Provider Association Conference in Honolulu, Hawaii. Genesis President Jim Nipp, and Genesis VP of Marketing and Sales Kelley Clarida demonstrated the monitoring, management and reporting capabilities of GenWatch3 and GW3-TRBO Performance Management Solutions, as well as the Genesis PULSE advanced vehicular tracking solution to Motorola two way radio dealers and Motorola Service Partners based in the Western United States.

Mr. Nipp and Mrs. Clarida also took some time to pay their respects to our fallen heroes at the USS Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor. The memorial marks the final resting place of 1,102 of the 1,177 sailors and marines killed on the USS Arizona during the Japanese surprise attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941.
