After 14 years of dedicated service, our Accounting Team Leader, Karin Harrell, is putting away her calculator.
Karin was never one to seek the spotlight. Instead, she led quietly and faithfully behind the scenes, always willing to step in and lend a hand whenever needed. Her work was consistently accurate, professional, and dependable. We are proud to have a top-notch Accounting Team at Genesis, one that is stronger than ever, thanks to the foundations she helped build.
We are grateful for her years of service and will miss seeing her around the office. Please join us in wishing Karin all the best as she begins an exciting new chapter of life. Thank you, Karin!

At Genesis, supporting law enforcement is more than what we do; it is our WHY. Every day, we have the privilege of working alongside agencies and individuals who devote their lives to protecting our communities, often at great personal cost.
This week serves as a reminder that behind every call, every late night, and every difficult situation is a person committed to serving others before themselves.
To all law enforcement officers, dispatchers, investigators, jail staff, and support personnel: THANK YOU for your sacrifice, your resilience, and your commitment to keeping our communities safe. We are honored to stand beside you.

👏 We are excited to welcome Mason Starnes as Operations Manager at Genesis!
Originally an Army kid who moved around growing up, Mason eventually found his way to Texas, and we’re glad he did. He attended Texas A&M before earning his MBA from UT Tyler, bringing a strong blend of leadership, operational insight, and problem-solving experience to the Genesis team.
Outside of work, Mason enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, building things, mountain biking, and camping.
The future looks bright at Genesis. We are excited for the journey ahead and grateful to have Mason as a part of it. Please join us in welcoming him to the team!

Congratulations, Kirby Hearn! 20 years and counting!
Today, we are celebrating Kirby Hearn, DevOps Software Engineer at The Genesis Group. In his time here, every piece of software we have created bears his fingerprints. If you’ve used a Genesis product, you’ve experienced Kirby’s work.
Steady. Consistent. Trustworthy. Those are the standards Kirby sets every single day. His depth of knowledge is matched only by his work ethic, and his willingness to jump in and help others has made him an invaluable part of our team. In addition to being a talented developer, he lifts up the people around him. And he doesn’t seem to be slowing down!
Kirby, thank you for 20 years of excellence, humility, and leadership. Genesis is better because of you. We are grateful for you and your beautiful family.

Team Genesis at the 6th Annual Remembrance Run! 🏃❤️
What a beautiful morning! An incredible turnout of families and friends from across Tyler and East Texas came together to honor loved ones, share stories, and lift each other up, all in support of The Children's Park of Tyler.
The Genesis family showed up strong. Some ran, some walked, and some proudly held down the cheering section. It was a great day of connecting, remembering, and making memories together.
We are grateful to be part of a community that shows up for one another in such a powerful way. It’s an honor to support organizations like The Children’s Park, which continues to provide a place of healing and hope for families navigating loss.

Swingin’ for the fences at the Battle of the Badges! 💥⚾️
This weekend’s all-star event benefited The Children's Advocacy Center of Smith County. It was a hard-fought game, but the City of Tyler Police Department came out on top over the City of Tyler Fire Department, UT Health East Texas EMS, and the Smith County Sheriff's Office. And while the trophy finally sits on a shelf at Tyler PD, the real MVPs are the children who benefit from the CAC's major league work.
