Genesis News
What a week at IWCE (the International Wireless Communications Expo) in Las Vegas! As always, it exceeded our expectations in every way.
Many of the partners and friends we work with every day were leading discussions, sharing their in-depth knowledge and real-world experiences. Learning from them firsthand was both inspiring and a powerful reminder of the caliber of people in this community.
One of the things we always appreciate most about IWCE is the Voice of the Customer. We do not have to wonder about the challenges our customers face in the field. We can sit in the audience and take notes as they stand on stage and talk about the real problems they are solving every day. It is hard to imagine better product feedback than that.
We walked away with fresh insights, new perspectives, and a deeper understanding of where the Land Mobile Radio industry is headed. IWCE continues to bring together the full spectrum of critical communications, from 911 centers to enterprise security, all united around one mission, moving the industry forward.
And honestly, gatherings like this feel less like a business conference and more like a family reunion. Getting to spend time with our tribe, the professionals we have the privilege of calling customers, friends, no, family, is what makes weeks like this so special.
So we leave Vegas inspired, energized, and grateful.

🌟 Genesis Employee Spotlight: Barry Hafer 🌟
This month, we’re proud to shine the spotlight on Barry Hafer, our Genesis eBONDS Support Integration Training Representative, who has been part of the Genesis family for 9 months.
Barry says it’s hard to choose just one favorite thing about working here, but what stands out most is how often we come together to celebrate success, celebrate each other, and celebrate life. From team events and big meetings to charitable opportunities and spontaneous celebrations, Barry loves the way Genesis feels like a big family when we are all together.
One of his most unforgettable memories? Bonding with the team while sheltering from potential tornadoes in the “storm shelter” (also known as the men’s room). This happened in the middle of his interview, no less. Talk about an icebreaker.
More recently, Barry had the honor of playing Santa at the Coats for Kids event. For many children, it was their very first time meeting Santa. Hearing whispers of “I think that’s really Santa!” made the experience even more special. Seeing the joy on their faces filled his cup to overflowing.
Barry, we’re grateful for your heart for people, your team spirit, and the joy you bring to Genesis.

🌶️ Things Got Spicy at Genesis!🌶️
Our Annual Chili & Soup Cookoff brought the heat, the flavor, and a little friendly competition. There were bold spices, secret family recipes (that some of us found on the Internet), a large bottle of Tums, and at least one pot that probably required a signed waiver. ALL of the dishes were mind-blowingly delicious!
After careful tasting (and a few second helpings), here are this year’s champions:
🔥 Chili Winners:
1st – John Williams
2nd – Jan Roberts
3rd – Alex Macaulay
🍲 Soup Winners:
1st – Stacey Sigwald
2nd – Samantha Snow
3rd – Caroline Gage
The best part is it brought our Genesis family together for a little fun and fellowship…And that’s always time well spent!

⛽️👓 Refuel & Refocus: February Edition!
We were honored to host Bethesda Health Clinic for our first gathering of 2026, joined by very special guests Dr. John English, CEO, and Laura Houston, Director of Culture & Engagement.
Dr. English shared a powerful and encouraging message, reminding us that Jesus came to save everyone – ministering to physical and spiritual needs alike. It was a timely reminder of compassion, purpose, and caring for the whole person.
As a Christ-centered ministry, Bethesda Health Clinic provides affordable, high-quality healthcare to hard-working, underserved families across East Texas. Their ministry of compassion reaches far beyond medicine and into the heart of the community.
A little bit about Bethesda's thrift store, Hangers of Hope: Every dollar you spend directly benefits the clinic, and every donation you make is tax-deductible. There are three locations in Tyler.
We are incredibly grateful for Bethesda’s work and their heart for service. Take a moment to visit their website to learn more about their mission and how you can get involved: bethesdaclinic.org/
