This week, the traveling Genesis elves were at it again! This time, we dropped off wrapped gifts to our adopted Military family at the US Army Reserve Center as well as Children's Village. They are some more of the heroes we love to honor, especially at this time of the year! They do so much for us, it’s the least we can do.

PATH helps…Bring the JOY this holiday season! 🎄🎁
The best way to describe our evening out with PATH: Pure joy. The people at PATH are the dictionary definition of giving: providing love and emotional support, and freely supplying goods and services to others. PATH - People Attempting to Help bridges the gap in our community between kind and generous people with caring hearts and our neighbors in need. PATH volunteers and staff live out their faith daily by serving over 25,000 people in East Texas.
During their annual Christmas party, PATH generously gifted bags and containers of food as well as helpful household items to families. Genesis was honored to crash the party and hand out stockings to the kids. And wouldn’t you know it, Jolly Ol’ Saint Nick (not Moss…but he was there, too) made an appearance, as well as the dastardly Mister Grinch!
After witnessing countless acts of generosity in our community over the last few weeks, our cups runneth over. THANK YOU for letting us be a part of this Season of Giving. Merry Christmas! ✨

Christmas With the Alzheimer's Alliance of Smith County! 🎄🎁
Santa and the happy Genesis elves had a blast visiting the Alzheimer's Alliance day club. We hope we brought a few smiles to their faces because they certainly filled our hearts with joy. 🥰
The Alzheimer’s Alliance is a local, independent nonprofit organization committed to providing life-changing support to persons living with dementia and their caregivers.
We are inspired by the people at the Alzheimer’s Alliance and their compassion, patience, and dedication to serving families in Smith County. Their work is a beautiful reminder that love, dignity, and human connection matter at every stage of life.

🔔 Ringing in the holidays with The Salvation Army!
“Who are these dingalings?” you ask. We’re not sure…but their face rings a bell. 🥁
Every week during the holiday season, Genesis has been camped outside Bass Pro Shops in Tyler, greeting shoppers during the lunch hour, wishing them a Merry Christmas, and minding the Salvation Army red kettle. Where does all the money go? The Salvation takes every penny from your generous donations and uses it for their variety of community programs:
✅ Basic needs, such as food, clothing, and utility assistance
✅ Shelter for the homeless
✅ After school programs and other youth services
✅ Disaster relief
✅ Christmas assistance, such as toys, meals, and support for families
When you help the Salvation Army, you help make our community a better place. Thank you and Merry Christmas! 🎄🎁

Another outstanding Blue Santa is in the books! 🎄💙
The Tyler Patrolman's Association Blue Santa Program brings a little extra light to families across East Texas. From winter coats and school supplies to a holiday shopping trip alongside a local officer or first responder, Blue Santa meets real needs while building positive connections with the community.
What makes this program so special isn’t just what’s given, it’s the moments in between. The laughter, the conversations, and the reminder that when a community shows up together, hope follows.
At the end of both Blue Santa events in Tyler, 280 children got to go shopping and experience a little more love this holiday season!
Genesis is grateful to have played our small part. Being a part of Blue Santa tops off our Christmas gas tank to overflowing. THANK YOU to our first responders who serve with heart all year long. We wish them, and YOU, a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and a season filled with joy!

Joyfully Shopping with Project Joy!
Project Joy is another Genesis community partner making a difference in the lives of people in need every Christmas. Project Joy shares God’s love through a box of food and gifts under the tree. And this year…WOW! A record crowd turned up to go shopping! We are grateful for our friends at Project Joy, who are the hands and feet of Christ. We are also thankful for such a generous community of people who give their time, talents, and treasures to help others.

Genesis Family Night with Santa!
If you heard gales of laughter echoing across East Texas the other night, not to worry, it was probably us. Our Genesis family came together for a night with Santa, and we stuffed stockings for our friends at PATH - People Attempting to Help. Santa and the GenElves will hand out these stockings next week, helping PATH spread love to the families they serve.

The Annual HERO Christmas Party with Gold Network of East Texas! 🎁
Joy was everywhere this weekend as more than 100 incredible heroes and their families came together to celebrate the season. The day kicked off with hot cocoa and a visit from Jolly ol’ Saint Nick at Nobilitea, followed by an over-the-top Christmas celebration at Haute Totz, complete with games, Buddy the Elf, Comet the Reindeer, and a free shopping spree for each family!
Our Genesis elves were thrilled to join in, handing out puzzles, games, and goody bags. It’s an honor to support Gold Network as they surround childhood cancer families with comfort, joy, and community during the holidays.

Ding dong! Genesis Delivers!
This is what it’s all about for us. Sure, the shopping was a ton of fun, but helping spread happiness and presents to people through our community partners is the most rewarding part by far!
Last week, Santa’s helpers dropped off wrapped gifts to The Children's Advocacy Center of Smith County, The Hand Up Network, The Salvation Army, and The Tyler-Smith County Child Welfare Board. Each organization plays a vital role in connecting with and serving the people of East Texas. They are our heroes. We are incredibly blessed to live in such a great place and be surrounded by so many great people!
Fire up that sleigh, Rudolph! There’s more to come!

✨ Pure MAGIC! ✨
It’s the biggest, brightest, most joy-packed night of the year: Genesis Goes Shopping! 🛒
Throughout the year, our team has quietly set aside a portion of every paycheck for the Genesis Gives Back fund. And tonight is when all those small acts of generosity turn into overflowing carts, huge smiles, and Christmas magic for families in our community.
Armed with wish lists from families involved with our incredible community partners, the Genesis family invades Walmart on a mission to make this season brighter for kids and families who deserve to feel the love. Honestly, it is the best way we know to kick off the holidays. Ho ho hooooo!

Genesis Family Night at “Oh What A Night” at Whataburger!
Last evening, area Whatataburgers joined with law enforcement and other first responders, along with local businesses and individuals across Smith County, to raise $29,888.16 for kids to shop with a cop at this year’s annual Blue Santa Event!
The Genesis family enjoyed a great night out for a worthy cause. Afterwards, we assembled at Walmart on Troup Highway in Tyler for our annual Christmas shopping spree! Be watching for images and video…coming soon!

It was another incredible turnout as hundreds of people gathered again for the 11th Annual Thanksgiving-Eve Bed Build with Grace Embedded at Green Acres Baptist Church. It was a beehive of activity as people worked hard to construct 100 beds that will soon belong to 100 children facing foster or kinship placement in our community. But the ministry of Grace EmBEDded is not about the beds; it is all about the hundreds of children they help feel seen, safe, and valued. It’s about these children experiencing the love of Jesus in a tangible and loving way.
We are especially grateful for the servant-leader hearts at Genesis eBONDS and The Genesis Group, who rolled up their sleeves to make a real difference in East Texas.

We love our community partners! They provide the opportunity for us to engage with the people in our area and minister to them in whatever way we can. We are the ones who end up feeling the most blessed. That’s what #GenesisGivesBack is all about.
PATH - People Attempting to Help is a great example of organizations on the frontlines of making a difference in the lives of others. PATH’s mission is simple and powerful: meeting the needs of East Texans with dignity, compassion, and hope. A part of that mission is helping our kids stay warm in the winter.
Our Genesis family had the privilege of participating in their annual Coats for Kids distribution at First Presbyterian Church in Tyler. So much love was packed into our short time together. To make the day even more special, Santa and his elves made an appearance! It was the perfect way to kick off our Season of Giving. Ho ho ho!
