We were honored to host representatives from the office of US Senator John Cornyn (R-TX). The visit included a tour of the Genesis Phirst Building, and discussion on how businesses like Genesis make a positive impact on the East Texas economy.
In addition to serving on the Senate Finance and Judiciary Committees, Senator Cornyn serves as the Majority Whip, the second-highest ranking position in the Senate Republican Conference.

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, and the Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (CASA) of East Texas held its annual auction event at the Green Acres Baptist Church Crosswalk last evening. This also marks CASA’s 25th anniversary, and this year’s theme: Justice is Served. For the CASA for Kids of East Texas 2016 Justice is Served event, Genesis provided manpower and technology at the auction payment tables. In typical Genesis fashion, we worked hard and had a lot of fun. The event raised funds to further the work of CASA and its volunteers.

Genesis PULSE features
Using Genesis PULSE™ with Waze integration, 911 call centers can easily pinpoint traffic events, such as construction, congestion or accidents. Using this data, dispatchers can send emergency units along faster routes, avoiding delays.
Today, Genesis is pleased to announce Genesis PULSE is launching a new in-vehicle mobile app with Waze integration. It provides first responders not only with current road conditions, but real-time, turn-by-turn navigation. All of the features of Waze and Genesis PULSE — combined in one powerful mobile interface.
The development of the PULSE mobile app is made possible by the Waze Transport SDK (software development kit), which was announced by Waze today. The SDK allows partners in the Waze Connected Citizens Program to easily implement some of Waze’s most useful features, natively in their own apps.
